Special Call for Artists: “Linguaphobia, Linguistic Indifference, Linguistic Disobedience, & the Monolingual University”

The UBC Comics Studies Cluster’s Comics-to-Research Program supports faculty and graduate students in collaborating with local cartoonists to disseminate their research through comic art.

Comix & Stories - July 6, 2025

 

Here's the flyer for the show next month. A bit of shuffling with guests, with the final lineup being Simon Roy (Prophet, Habitat, Griz Grobus), Cole Pauls (We See Stars Only at Night, Kwandur, Pizza Punks), Cam Hayden (Pinocchio and Jesus, Coffin Knockers), Aaron Navrady (The Cold Fire), Adam de Souza (The Gulf), Jeff Martin (Hockeypocalypse), Michael McAdam (Gloaming), Nathan Fairbairn (PAWS, Lake of Fire), and Stefan Tosheff (Romeo vs. Juliet).

There are only a few tables left for the show. Prices are $80 for a 3x6’ table and $45 for a 3x3’ table. Show hours will be from 11AM – 5PM.  If you’re interested in space, either email me at lswong@uniserve.com (with links to samples of your work), or call me at 604-322-6412 to set things up.
